Today I

... had much fun with the team going to the lake at Tegel, doing three point turns in a pedalo and spending too long outside the very German public toilet waiting to see if it really did automatically open on you after 20 minutes of being inside.

... got lost in Neukölln going to see Elaine and was consequently VERY LATE.

... really did think that for once I was a fully-fledged German in my Pünktlichkeit on the way to the lake, but in reality my watch had stopped, so time hadn't really stood still.

... laughed a lot.

... enjoyed the sunshine.

... had my tickets checked three times on the trains.

... began to feel awfully detached from people planning to go back to university in the next couple of weeks.

... thought Psalm 18 was very apt, esp verse 30:

"As for God, his way is perfect;
the word of the LORD is flawless.
He is a shield for all who take refuge in him."
